Preparation & Foundation

  • Start with a slip knot.
  • Foundation: Make two chains.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Row 1: Make one single crochet in the second chain from the hook.
  2. Row 2: Look at the right side of your work to find a single loop. Insert your hook into this loop, turn your work slightly, and make one single crochet.
  3. Row 3 (The Repeat Row): Look at the right side again. You will now see two loops. Insert your hook into these two loops and make one single crochet.
Pro Tip: It is highly recommended to keep your stitches loose so it is much easier to insert your crochet hook into the loops.

Continuation

Repeat Row 3 continuously. For every subsequent stitch, you will always look for the two loops on the right side and work a single crochet into them.

Continue this process until you reach your desired length (e.g., approximately 9 inches for a bangle that slides easily over the hand).

Finishing Touches

Once satisfied with the length, finish off and fasten your yarn.

  • To make a Bangle: Use a yarn needle to stitch the two ends together securely in the middle, weaving in your tails with a few extra stitches.
  • To make a Bracelet: You can leave the yarn ends long to create adjustable sliding knots so the size can be tightened or loosened on the wrist.
