crochet baby jacket:
Hello every one, this is one of my favorite baby cardigan/sweater/coat/jacket with collar. This adorable jacket fits to 12 to 24 months old. perfect for chilly weather, keeps your little one warm, cosy and stylish.

This is my first blog I am providing written pattern for this adorable jacket. please comment below if you want more written patterns.
This is a simple pattern, I am using double crochet.I have used dk(double knitting) yarn in red colour and some white fleece yarn for edge/border.this is worked from top to down all in one piece. if you are having any problem, follow my video tutorial linked above.

Materials you will need for this project:
200 gram dk (double knitting) yarn(Red color) 100% acrylic
white fleece yarn for borders
white yarn (optional)
4 mm crochet hook
yarn needle
5 buttons
measurements and guage:
5 stitches and 2.5 rows make 1 inch.
Chest 22 inch
jacket Length 14 inch
Sleeves length 7.5 inch
pattern:
yoke:
make a chain of 63 stitches.
Row 1:
Make 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, make 1 dc in next
8 stitches,in next stitch make corner(dc
ch1 dc),1 dc in next 10 stitches, corner(dc ch1 dc) in next stitch, 1 dc in
next 18 stitches, corner (dc ch1 dc) in next stitch,1 dc in next 10 stitches,
corner(dc ch1 dc) in next next stitch,1 dc in remainingg stitch(9).
Row 2:
Ch 3,make 1 dc in base of ch3, 1 dc in next 9 stitches, corner (dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space, 1 dc in next
12 stitches, corner in (dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space ,1 dc in next 20 stitches, corner
(dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space, 1 dc in next 12 stitches, corner (dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space, 1 dc in last 10
stitches.
Row 3:
Ch 3, 1 dc in the base of ch 3,1 dc in next 10 stitches,
corner(dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space,
1 dc in next 14 stitches, corner (dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space, 1
dc in next 22 stitches, corner(dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space,1 dc in next 14
stitches, corner (dc ch1 dc) in ch1 space, 1 dc in last 11 stitches.
Round 4-12:
Follow round 2 and 3
note: ( make less rounds for smaller sizes and keep
increasing more rounds for larger sizes).
Body:

ch3 ,1 dc in all stitches before ch space(corner)21
stitches,
ch6, skip 34 stitch from this ch space to next chain
space,make a dc in 35th stitch, 1 dc in next 14 stitches,in next 6 stitches
make 1 dc in front loop only,flip your work and make 1 dc in the back loop of 6
stitches(front loop is already done),flip again work in 2nd last
line,make front post treble crochet in next 12 stitches,flip your work and make
1 dc in front loop of top line in next 6 stitches,flip you work again and make
1 dc in back loop of previus 6 dc,now make 1 dc in every stiches until you rech
ch space(corner), chain 6 leave 34 stitch ,make dc in 35 stitch ,1 dc in
remaining stitch.( see video for this step).
body
Row 2 : ch3 ,1 dc in every stitch,1 dc in each ch,keep
making 1 dc in the every stitch of design as well.
Row 2-20:
Follow round 2
Sleeve:
Join the yarn in the corner stitch,1 dc in every stitch
accross,place last dc in 1st stitch of corner ,leave next stitches,make ss on top of
ch 3,(sew hole at end)34 stitches.
2-19:
make 1 dc in every stitch,ss on top of ch3 to join the
round.
Round 20:
Use fleece yarn
Make 1 dc in each stitch across.finish off.
Botton band:
Round 1: Join the yarn facing right side,make 1 sc in each
space.
Round 2-4:
Make 1 sc in each sc od round 1.
Border:join the yarn
on last row of body facing right side out and make 1 sc in each stitch across.
Collar:
Join the yarn on the 1 dc of collar facing right side out ,
ch 3 1 dc in base of ch 3,make 1 dc in each stitch across .(last stitch on last
dc).
Round 2-4:
Make 1 dc in each stitch across.
Round 5 ,6 :
Join fleece yarn in and make 1 sc all around collar for 2
rounds.
Back strap:
Chain 20,
1 sc in the 2nd chain from hook,1 sc in every
stitch across,
round 2-5:
1 sc in every stitch .
