Crochet hooded baby cardigan:
hello all,today i am sharing with you a pattern for a hooded baby cardigan,A beautifull autumn color cardigan,this is for 1-2 year old baby but you can make it bigger or smaller .
i have given a design  on shoulder  like little leaves and i have also put some braided design on front side of cardigan.
This cardigan is worked in one piece from top to down .sleeves are full with ribbed edge,and i have added a hood on top ,which will will keep your little one head and neck warm  and will add a style to the whole outfit.

200g dk weight yarn(salmon color).
3mm crochet hook
3 wooden flower bottons
pair of scissors
yarn needle


This cardigan will fit to 1 to 2 year old baby.

Stitches abriviations used:

Double crochet=dc
Front post treple crochet=fptc
Back post treple ctochet=bptc

Special stitches:

V stitch=double crochet,chain 1,double crochet

Pattern:

Ch 80+3

Row 2:ch2,1 dc in next 10 st,bpdc in next st,v in ch 1 space,bpdc in next st,1 dc in next 18 st,bpdc in next st,v in ch1 space,bpdc in next st,1 dc in next 20,bpdc in next st,v in ch1 space,bpdc in next st,1 dc in next 18 st,bpdc in next st,v in ch1 space,bpdc in next st,1 dc in next 10.

Row 5:ch2,1 dc in next 5, 1 dc in the petal(see video link),ch 14,slip st on 6 st to join the loop,1 dc in next 8 st,fpdc in next st, v in ch1 space,fpdc in next st,1 dc in next 24 st,fpdc in next st,v in ch1 space,fpdc in next st,1 dc in next 26 st,fpdc in next st,v in ch1 space,fpdc in next st,1 dc in next 24 st,fpdc in next st,v in ch1 space,fpdc in next st,1 dc in next 8 st,chain 14,slip st on top of 8 st to join the loop,1 dc in next 5 st.(see video link for help).

Row 6-14:repeat row 4 and 5.

Row15: repeat the same pattern until you get v st,fold front side over back side and make a slip stitch in ch 1 space of front and back side holding them together(see video).1 dc in each st of back side until you get next v,again fold back side on front and make a slip stich on both ch 1 st holding them togher(see video).,follow the yoke design for front side.

Row 16-34:repeat the same pattern for body.(1 dc in each slip stitch)

Finish off at the end of row 34.

Braid:
fold down the last pattel and ,insert 2nd last pattel in the hole of last one then pull it from front side,then take the 3rd last pattel and insert in 2nd last from backside it pull it out from front.in the same way keep doing until you reach first pattel .then stitch the fisrt pattel to secure it.(see video above for guidline).

Sleeves:

round1:Join the yarn in slip st and ch 3,make 1 dc in aeach st across(46).make a slip st on top on ch 3 ans join the round.

Round 2 -17:ch3 ,1 dc in each stich across(46)join to top of ch3 by making a slip st.

Round 18:ch4, fpdc,bpdc,keep repeating fpdc and bpdc in all stitches across.

Round 19-20:ch 4,make fpdc in fpdc and bpdc in bpdc,repeat across.

Hood:

Join the yarn on top top on neck.

Row 1:ch2,1 dc in each st(80)

Row 2-20:ch2,1dc in each stich across.

Sew it together(see video).
