The Pattern Instructions
Part 1: The Yoke (Cream Yarn)
Foundation: Chain the total number required for your size.
Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn.
Row 2 (Corners): Ch 2. Dc in Back sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st for corner. Dc in Sleeve sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st for corner. Dc in Front sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st for corner. Dc in Sleeve sts, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st for corner. Dc in remaining Back sts. Turn.
Row 3 - End of Yoke: Ch 2. *Dc in each st to ch-1 space, (dc, ch 1, dc) in ch-1 space.* Repeat across. Follow the chart for total rows.
Joining Row: Dc to 1st corner, dc in ch-1 space. Chain for Underarm (see chart). Skip sleeve. Dc in 2nd corner space. Dc across front. Dc in 3rd corner. Chain for Underarm. Skip sleeve. Dc in 4th corner. Dc to end. Join with Sl St to work in rounds.
Part 2: The Lace Body (Purple Yarn)
Round 9 (Mesh): Ch 2. *Dc, ch 1, skip 1, dc.* Repeat around. Join.
Round 10 (Base): Ch 1. Sc in every dc and ch-1 space. Join.
Round 11 (V-Stitch): Ch 4, dc in same st. *Ch 2, skip 2 sc, sc in next, ch 2, skip 2, V-st (dc, ch 1, dc) in next.* Repeat around. Join.
Round 12 (Clusters): Sl st to V-st space. Ch 2. (3-dc tog, ch 1, 3-dc tog, ch 1, 3-dc tog) in V-stitch. Ch 1, skip to next V-st and repeat. Join.
Rounds 13-14: Repeat Rounds 9 and 10.
Round 15 (The Flare): Repeat Round 11, but skip only 1 stitch instead of 2. This creates the skirt volume!
Round 16: Repeat Round 12. Continue repeating rounds 13-16 until desired length is reached.
Pro-Tip: For a professional finish, use Cream yarn for the very last row of the skirt!
Finishing Touches
Butterfly Bow: Ch 6, join to form a ring. Ch 2, 2-dc tog in ring, ch 2, sl st in ring. Ch 3, 2-tr tog in ring, ch 3, sl st in ring.Ch 3, 2-tr tog in ring, ch 3, sl st in ring. Ch 2, 2-dc tog in ring, ch 2, sl st in ring, Wrap yarn around the center and sew to the dress waist.
