Daisy Mesh Bottle Holder

The Viral Spring Trend - Easy Beginner Pattern

Stop carrying your water bottle and start wearing it! This Daisy Mesh Bottle Holder is the ultimate accessory for spring walks, festivals, and errands. It’s lightweight, eco-friendly, and custom-sizable for any bottle!

Materials Needed

  • Yarn: 100% Cotton (Medium Weight 4). Sage, Beige, White, and Yellow.
  • Hook: 4.0mm (G)
  • Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors, and your bottle for measuring.

1. The Universal Base

We will work in rounds to match the diameter of your bottle.

Round 1: Magic Ring, 12 dc into ring. Join with sl st. (12)
Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around. Join. (24)
Round 3 (Medium): If base is bigger, *1 dc, 2 dc in next*. Repeat around. Join. (36)
Round 4 (Large): If still too small, *1 dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next*. Repeat around. Join. (48)
Tip: The base should be just slightly smaller than your bottle. The mesh will stretch for a snug fit!

2. The Mesh Body

Switch to Green/Main Color

Round 1: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc + ch 1), skip 1 st, dc in next. Repeat *ch 1, skip 1, dc* around. Join.
Remaining Rounds: Repeat the "ch 1, dc" pattern until the mesh reaches the shoulder of your bottle. Fasten off.

3. Beige Border & Strap

This adds strength and a comfortable carry.

The Border: Join Beige yarn. Work 4 rounds of Single Crochet (sc) into every stitch and space around.

The Strap:
1. Sc into the next 6 stitches.
2. Ch 1, turn. Sc in those 6 stitches.
3. Repeat rows back and forth until the strap reaches your desired length.
4. To Finish: Use a yarn needle or sc to join the strap to the exact opposite side of the holder.

4. Easy Daisy Appliqués

Make as many as you like to decorate your holder!

Center (Yellow): chain 2, 6 sc in 2rd chain from hook . slip st in 1st stitch.
Petals (White): Join white *Ch 3, 2 dc tog in same st, ch 3, sl st in same st*. slip stitch in next stitch, Repeat in each st around (6 petals).

Assembly: Use the yarn tails to sew your daisies onto the mesh wherever you like!
