Materials Needed

  • Yarn: Aran weight (Yellow & Orange)
  • Hook: 3.0mm Crochet Hook
  • Eyes: 6mm Safety Eyes
  • Other: Fiberfill stuffing, Yarn needle, Stitch marker

  • MR: Magic Ring
  • Sc: Single Crochet
  • Inc: Increase (2 sc in one stitch)
  • Dec: Decrease (sc 2 together)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Head & Body (Yellow)

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: Inc in each st around (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
R5-R8: Sc in each st around (24)
R9: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
*Attach eyes between R7-R8, 5 sts apart.
R10: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
*Stuff the head firmly.
R11: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R12: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
R13-R16: Sc in each st around (24)
R17: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
R18: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
*Finish stuffing the body.
R19: Dec around (6)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Wings (Yellow - Make 2)

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
R3: Sc in each st around (9)

Flatten and sew closed. Leave a tail for assembly.

Beak & Feet (Orange)

Beak: Ch 4. Starting in 2nd ch: sc, sc, 3sc in last ch. Turn to other side of chain: sc, inc (8). Fasten off.

Feet (Make 2): 6 sc in MR. R2: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9). Fasten off.

Assembly

Sew the beak centered between the eyes. Attach wings at R12 on the sides. Sew feet to the bottom slightly angled forward so your duckling sits upright!
