Mustard Spring Crochet Bolero

Vintage Mustard Baby Bolero

This Vintage Mustard Baby Bolero crochet pattern is the ultimate project for makers looking to create a stylish, boutique-quality garment for newborns and toddlers. Designed with a unique sideways construction, this flared bolero features a beautiful "swing" silhouette that drapes perfectly over baby dresses or rompers. Using a 5.5mm hook and DK weight yarn, the pattern utilizes the Extended Single Crochet (exsc) stitch. This specific stitch offers a soft, airy texture with a sophisticated "braided" look that is much more flexible than standard single crochet. The project is worked in three pieces—a structured back panel and two flared front panels—making it a quick and rewarding "afternoon project" for intermediate crocheters. Finished with a delicate scalloped blossom trim, this bolero is easily customizable. The pattern includes comprehensive grading for four sizes: 0-3 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, and 2 years. Whether you are searching for a handmade baby shower gift or a trendy addition to your child’s wardrobe, this mustard bolero combines vintage charm with modern crochet techniques. Download the full pattern today to master sideways shaping and elevate your baby crochet collection!
